TennViews.com is a virtual town hall for talking about liberal politics, culture, and life in the great state of Tennessee, with emphasis on state and national politics and a view towards netroots activism among Tennessee liberals.The TennViews ActBlue page is our central fundraising effort to support Democrats for progressive government in the Volunteer State of Tennessee.Although the “other side” considers Tennessee a “safe red state”, it should be noted that we have a Democratic Governor who won every county, and the majority of our Congressional delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives are Democrats.But there’s more work to be done. George W. Bush carried the state twice, and we elected the only Republican freshman to the U.S. Senate in 2006.As candidates for the 2008 elections emerge, we will be adding them to the TennViews fundraising page.
