I wouldn’t work for just anybody. Jeff Merkley is the Oregon Speaker of the House and has a strong progressive record. He is a leader (he led a band of progressive to retake the Oregon House for the Democrats in 2006), he is a legislator (he’s passed legislation to bring down the price of prescription drugs, take on payday lenders, and fund alternative energy), and a good man.
On top of all that, he gives us the best chance to unseat Republican Gordon Smith in the fall. He’s the real deal. An electable progressive.
Let’s give Oregon two Democratic senators, instead of a Republican who cancels out Wyden’s vote. Jeff Merkley for Oregon!
