The election is coming up fast and Tom needs your help. Tom’s opponent, Virgil Goode, has reacted to the closest race he has had in years with nasty negative ads and a campaign focused ratcheting up anti-immigrant sentiment. This kind of irresponsible leadership has no place at a time of financial crisis and in a district crying for an economic plan. Tom has a plan, but needs help to answer these attacks with a positive message. Every dollar counts in a tight race:
* $1000 pays for a television ad to run for one day on one station.
* $500 pays for nine large (four foot by eight foot) signs for our
supporters to put up in high impact spots that folks drive past every day.
* $100 covers enough campaign literature, bumper stickers and yard signs
to equip a canvasser for one week of canvassing.
* $50 fills a tank with gas for Tom to drive around the district the size of New Jersey.
Tom is a dynamic and authentic leader from a new generation who represents the best kind of politics, one driven by principle and shaped by conviction, where right and wrong are more important than right and left. In Congress, Tom will apply the hard-earned lessons he learned wrestling with the world’s most intractable issues in places like Afghanistan, Liberia and Darfur to find solutions to the complex problems we face today.
