I’ve worked on elections since 2004 but I’ve been a political junkie forever. My candidates listed below for President and U.S. House are good people who share the strong progressive values we need to rebuild our great country. They will lead, not follow. Please contribute to them!

Barack Obama

President

This time around, I want to believe in my candidate, not simply hate their opponent. In Obama, I have found a great candidate who shares many of my views and gives me hope for the future. On health care, international cooperation, energy policy, schools, medical research and a host of other topics, I see policies that we should be working on, that we should be implementing. It’s time to stop talking. We need solutions, we need them now, and Obama is the person to do it.

NY-29 (Map)

Eric is a fantastic challenger running in this western New York district. I met him during his first run for this seat. This time around, I’m very confident he’s going to take this seat, which he narrowly lost in 2006. The district runs from Rochester down to Corning and touches Elmira and Olean. He served in the military, was Wes Clark’s aide when Gen. Clark was in Europe. Eric survived cancer, opened a business, and now is trying to support his country in a House uniform.
I have rarely heard individuals, and frankly can’t ever recall hearing a candidate, cite Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s 1944 State of the Union speech that called for a Second Bill of Rights that focused on jobs, poverty, health care and other social and economic rights. Massa said that he was an FDR type of Democrat and then enumerated why. Let’s help get Eric to Congress in 2008!

Tom is mounting a fantastic challenge to incumbent Virgil Goode. He has a good shot in this district that I’ve been watching since 2004. Tom brings impeccable credentials and experience on domestic and international issues. He’d be a fine Congressman for his district, Virginia and the country

Rep. Cleaver, currently serving his second term, is simply fantastic. Whether it’s health care, international affairs or the environment, this is a good, kind and concerned man. We need more like him in Congress.
