These are not considered Tier 1 races but are races in which Democrats need to be competitive in order to take the Senate this year. Since I first put together this page we have seen the races in VA and AZ change. Now the focus needs to be on NV.

Jack Carter has done his job as a candidate by making his race competitve but he needs the funds to close the deal. Recent polling has put him within single digits of his Republican opponent and he needs the resources to stay close enough to be carried over the line by this year’s Democratic Perfect Storm.
If Jack wins the Democrats will have control of the Senate. If the Democrats gain control of the Senate this year they will end up controlling it at least until 2012. In 2008 two thirds of the Senate seats up for grabs will be held by the Republicans. This gives the Democrats the opportunity to not only take control of the Senate but if we have enough victories in 2006 Democrats may be able to get the magic filibuster proof 60 seats in 2008 by winning Republican seats in Democratic states like OR and MN.
Let’s get with it and get Jack the resources he needs to win!

Thanks to Senator Macaca, Webb is now well positioned to take this seat. His poll numbers have closed and his fundraising has followed and I believe that the DSCC will help fund a formidable endgame. I hope that you would consider supporting Jack Carter’s campaign and help create another opportunity for Democrats.

Jim Pederson has made a personal monetary committment to his campaign that has made him competitive. His ads have gotten him within 4-6 points of Kyl in some polls. The DSCC has also made commitments to his race. This is another race that now has the financial resources to compete. I hope that you would consider supporting Jack Carter’s campaign and help create another opportunity for Democrats.
